Mid-Week
Work at Whitehead
RPSI volunteer, Tony Ragg,
was working as part of the mid-week gang and brought his camera with him.
If you had been at Whitehead
on Tuesday 24th August 2004, then you could have witnessed scenes like
this:
 |
The mid-week volunteer gang have
been working hard over the summer to put in wiring for the machines in
the locomotive workshop. From left to right - Ken, Edward, James,
Tony, Christopher and Johnny all look very pleased with their work. |
| Meanwhile, over in the foundry our full
time staff are preparing a casting of a gear wheel for a machine in the
workshop. Here they are preparing the cast... |
 |
 |
...before turning it over to reveal the
shape of the gear wheel and... |
| ...tidying up....not like hoovering at
home! |
 |
I hope this has given you a fun insight
into work behind the scenes at Whitehead.
