A photo report with pictures from Tony O'Shaughnessy
Work continues on the RPSI's newly acquired Cravens carriages.  Salvage work has been undertaken to ensure spares and replacements for the newly acquired carriages.
As always more members as volunteers would be a great help.
Don’t put it off contact us and you could be on the team for the next Craven restoration.

Whitehead Works ImageThe RPSI has purchased a rake of Cravens carriages.  Work is continuing on this set in Dublin.  The first three to be bought were 1529, 1539 and 1541.  Here we see 1541 receiving its first coat of topcoat.

Whitehead Works ImageAs always, painting is never straightforward and to get a finish like this involved hours of sanding down (particularly to remove the white stripe) and undercoating.  The result is very rewarding.

Whitehead Works ImageCraven 1539, previously lime undercoat, has been given a partial top coat of green while it is in use in the wooden set.
