Pre-Production models - note
that some aspects of these were altered for production models, primarily
the lining which was too low.
Open brake 460 is to be found in all our
northern trains since as well as the guard's compartment it contains the
temporary bar!
180 is one of our ever-popular compartment
firsts.
301 is one of our three comfortable Mark
2 open coaches.
The Models in action - These
pictures were kindly contributed by proud owners of the coaches as well
as spectators at a recent model show in Bangor.
The Mark 2s compare very favourably with
a variety of other Irish models on this superb layout, and add an eye-relieving
splash of green to the ranks of black and tan!

The carriages are very detailed models.
Springs, axlebox covers, and door handles are all picked out in the correct
colours; even the little yellow sticker denoting approval by Resco
is in place. The modeller also has the option of replacing the standard
tension lock couplings with a close coupling bar. This greatly improves
the look of the models as they ride the right distance apart, and the coupling
bar is cunningly disguised as a vacuum bag. We can assure you these
are easier to handle than either the bags or the couplings on the real
thing!
One bar is included as standard with each
coach.
