The Claddagh (1982)

One of these trips was run each spring for a number of years using the carriages from Whitehead, at that time stored in Mullingar over the winter. The route was Mullingar to Galway and return, with a local tip from Galway to Attymon and back. The date of this trip was 17th April 1982.

The carriages were stored in Mullingar's Jail siding over the winter, generally returning to Whitehead as part of the May railtour.

At Galway, No.184 is in the company of diesels that are in a still-functioning motive power depot.

No.184 has made use of Galway's turntable and is being prepared for the return trip.

The stub of the old Clifden line is evident at Galway.
