Inchicore Works celebrated 150 years with an open days on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th June 1996. A number of RPSI locomotives were moved there specially for the occasion. The photographs were taken on 15/6/1996.

003 had been restored to the 1970s livery and numbered A3r.

Another view of A3r. Behind it is GM 150. This locomotive was to be named "Inchicore Works 150", and the unveiled plaque can be seen on the cab side.

Another A class locomotive, 039 this time, re-liveried in the original 1950s colours. The locomotive is now preserved by the Irish Traction Group.

Sulzer B113, a locomotive now in the Irish Rail Gallery at Cultra.

C class C231, now preserved by the Irish Traction Group.

The ex-BR steam crane was in operation.

No.186 was also on display. It had to be moved specially from Whitehead by low-loader as it would be 8 years before it returned to traffic.

The RPSI's No.461 and No.171 were on display with No.90 (centre), now in the ownership of the DCDR.

The steam locomotives were the major attraction.

No.85 was in steam. It had hauled carriages 1142 and 91 from Whitehead to Inchicore a week before. It returned on the Sunday evening with 238, 241 and 91.
