Cancellation of diesel railtour on Saturday 18th October/
Unfortunately, this Saturday’s diesel railtour to County Kerry has been cancelled.
When our operating licence came up for renewal with the Commission for Railway Regulation (CRR), they had received legal advice that our current structure was no longer valid to hold a licence in Ireland. The main issue is that our company is registered in the UK and is no longer in the EU, as it was when the first licence was granted.
Work has been underway since it was established that we have additional legal and Companies Registration Office requirements to renew our licence. Despite our very best efforts we have not achieved this in time for this Saturday’s tour.
We truly understand the massive disappointment that this news brings - the Society team is apologetic at having to cancel the tour.
Refunds will be issued via Eventbrite within two weeks.
