This October, the museum will be transformed into a world of pumpkins, spooky surprises and incredible creatures. Bring the family along for a day packed with Halloween fun, a steam train ride and fascinating live animal encounters with the experts from Wee Critters.

Enjoy an exciting 45-minute live animal experience with Wee Critters, featuring an amazing selection of creatures including owls, spiders, toads and armadillos. Get up close, learn some fascinating facts and discover what makes these animals so special!

All Aboard the Halloween Express!

Climb aboard for a short steam train ride - hauled by our 105 year-old steam locomotive No.3BG "Guinness" - within our premises using our heritage carriages. You will be transported to a bygone era! The perfect way to add a little railway magic to your Halloween adventure.

Take Home a Pumpkin!

Selected tickets include your very own plush pumpkin, making the perfect Halloween souvenir to remember your day.

Halloween Games & Family Fun

Test your skills with our spooky-themed games and activities, with plenty to keep little witches, wizards and railway enthusiasts entertained.

Spooky Photo Opportunities

Capture the memories with our Halloween decorations, seasonal displays and amazing animal guests.

Your booked timeslot includes a steam train ride and Wee Critters animal session. Once you've finished, you're welcome to stay and explore the museum for the rest of the day, soak up the Halloween atmosphere and enjoy all the activities on offer.
